Kalanchoë in a tall pink glass vase
The Kalanchoë comes from tropical Africa (Madagascar) and belongs
to the Crassulaceae family (a family of succulents). There are more
than 200 different species of this plant, varying from hanging plants
and abundantly flowering plants to plants with different coloured flowers,
indoor plants and outdoor plants. Ideally the plant should be kept at a
temperature of ± 20 ºC (room temperature), but the plant is easily able
to withstand temperatures varying from 12 ºC to 30 ºC. Put the Kalanchoë
in a warm spot and make sure that it gets plenty of light (direct sunlight is
not a problem), otherwise the plant is unable to flower. The plant does not
need much water because it stores water in its leaves. When watering the
plant add some plant food to the water once every two to three weeks.
The Kalanchoë can flower all year round and can produce a real abundance
of quaternary flowers. Any flowers that have wilted can be removed. One of
the positive properties of the plant is that its growth is limited in a small space,
which does away with the need for repotting.
The best tips for caring for your plant:
Requires little attention.
Can be placed outside in summer.
Light, sunny spot.
Ideal temperature 20 ºC.

Keep plant slightly dry in winter.
The pot size of this Kalanchoë is 12 cm and is proposed in a tall pink glass vase of 22 cm,
the height of the glass and the plant is 45 cm.
